Hi all,

So i orderd this board the other day along with 2x4 sticks of 1600 ripjaw gskill ram. Also bought an aftermarket cooler. Im hoping this will be easy to run my cpu @ 3.0 ghz and 1600 FSB, does that sound right?

Just set your FSB to 400MHz and use a 2:1 ratio for your DRAM/FSB. Probably need to bump the vcore to about 1.3V and the same for the MCH&FSB. Set the timmings and voltage for the RAM to manufacture suggested spec in the BIOS as well. You should be good to go. Stress test with Memtest86 and Prime95.

OK, so everything is in, here is what ive done so far: set FSB to 400, system multi is at 7.5 and i have my 3 Ghz OC. I havnt adjusted any voltage settings yet, i wanted to post first as everything is stable at the moment, so im wondering if i should change them anyway - ill post the current info in a sec.

I use ubuntu, so ive done stress test using mprime, im at 48c at full load, so cooling is certainly adequate. Ill post output of cpufreq-info at the bottom of this post.

Finally, if everything seems good here, id like to now set optimal settings for my vid card - i have 250 GTS dark knight. So any advice would be great.

Run Prime95 in small FTT's first to test the CPU then go to blend to test everything. Run small FTT's and if it is still passing after an hour go over to blend and run it over night ~12-18hrs. If it passes for that long you can pretty much call it stable. Go play Crysis on high settings for a while too, that stresses the hell out of systems.
