My P4 server was running fine as a file server for months but now it wont boot. The powerswitch is none responsive (tried different switches). Also to make things more interesting. It will start up for around 4 seconds when i turn my psu on but after that will cut out. When i hit the psu switch, again it will turn the board on for around 4 -5 seconds, then cut off again.

Any suggestions?

well the only way to check for shorts is usually the run the board oh a bit of cardboard outside of the case, and hmm it seems like such a small nudge but still checking for shorts might be worth a try.

tried both, same thing from both. Boots as soon as the psu is turned on, but cuts out if the 4pin connector is plugged in to power the cpu. Dead board i guess
