Asus sabertooth p67 v3 PCIE slot 1 wont work

Just built my new system last night and for the life of me I can not get either video card to work in PCIE slot 1. They will both work with out fail in the second slot, just neither one will show up in the first slot.


Any idea's how to fix this or do I have a faulty mobo?

Since you have two working cards and they don't work in the same slot, that narrows it down to the motherboard. I would try the following, in order:

1) Reset the CMOS
2) Try the motherboard on a non-conductive surface (i.e. *not* static bags)
----While the board is out, check to see if there is any physical damage to the slot or pins
3) Flash the BIOS to the newest release
4) RMA the board

thanks i am sending the board back and replacing it with a asrock p67 extreme 4. hopefully i will have better luck with that one.
