Hi, I have an older DDR2 setup I built in 2010. I bought one stick of G.SKILL 4GB DDR2 SDRAM with the intention of buying another stick in the future but I never did. Also, it's $105 for one stick, kind of expensive. I was thinking about buying x2 2GB sticks so I can run in dual channel and selling off the 4GB. I would make money on the deal and I'd have dual channel.

I guess I just need a second opinion. I've been playing the Sims 3 and it runs ok but I could use a little more power.

There isn't much difference is gaming, watching videos, etc... so most people won't ever see an increase in performance by going dual channel. We're all just buying dual-channel kits because they look cool. ;)
