Amd 9750 Phen

My sons friend gave him a Phen II x 4 2.4ghz, 9750 , with an asus M2N68-AM is this set up worth it for me to purchase Ram , psu .hd , rom and a case ? My kid wants a setup for in his bed room..

If its a 9750, that would be a P1 not a P2.

Yes . i see on the cpu it is a Phen not a phen 2 . will it game . i was thinking like a 9800 gt gfx card from ebay for 30 bucks shipped . . with 4 gigs ddr2 ram ? worth my $$$ and time . i have vista 64 bit i can install as an O.S.

He also included a AMD Athlon II X4 600e Quad Core Processor - 2.20GHz which cpu is better the Phen 1 or the Athlon II ?

If you can get some decent used parts like that, it should play some light games, not something like BF3 though.
