hp touchpad touch screen not working properly

Sometimes it will work fully for a few minutes, but most of the time it only works on part of the screen or not at all. is there any way to fix this? i assume that since it works perfectly sometimes, that there should be a way to fix this.

Probably not, since the HP TPs are and have been out of production for a while.
