I use to be able to go to standby mode under Windows Me, but here recently I have been unable to go into standby mode. It is not even under the choices when you go to

start->shutdown... I also use to be able to go into standby mode from the button on my keyboard, when I press it now it tries to then re-awakes. Thanks for the help:)

If you haven't changed APM in your BIOS, try this;
Start your Registry Editor(Windows\Regedit.exe)
Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\VxD\VPOWERD.
In the right pane of your Registry Editor, you should see entries for Flags and SuspendFlag.
Doubleclick the Flags value, and verify that it is greater than or equal to 200. If it is, subtract 200 from its current value and type the new value, then click OK.
If the SuspendFlag value isn't already ) doubleclick SuspendFlag and enter the value o, then click OK.
Exit the Registry and restart Windows.

This should solve your problem.
