Not just the extra 200mhz, it also has unlocked multiplier, and a better QPI. And also, you can just overclock the 965 to speeds that the 940 cannot reach on the same cooling.

Um.. I think he is talking about the 920 vs 940. They are virtually the same except for their "stock" speeds.

66Its nothing new. That is about what the difference was between the Q6600 and Q6700 and currenty for the Q9550 and Q9650. They certainly make you pay for the small difference but if didn't they would keep the pricing scheme.

Not when mobo's cost $200 plus. I've seen Sub $400 1366 boards... No incentive there... So I would agree with you there... MSI's $220 board is most appealing...So far.

Sigh @ 940, complete ripoff.

Props to the 920 being very reasonably priced and obviously you're going to be paying 1k+ for an unlocked CPU with the highest clockspeed out atm.

your paying for the higher multiplier IMHO.
the bCLK is hard to get past 200MHz from the stock 133.
