16GB sticks of DDR3 RAM?

They must be coming out with 16GB sticks of DDR3. The latest BIOS release (Beta) of the Rampage IV BE supports 128GB of RAM. Why would they create a BIOS for something that won't exist? Unless this is for registered Xeon type of RAM.
 
Even older X79 boards have info about 128GB support but there were no modules on the market to test it. For some months there are available 16GB modules but still no one will guarantee they will work with every board.
I don't think any bigger manufacturer has mass production. I only saw less known brands but can't find them in any stores now.
Earlier 16GB modules were only Reg. ECC. I don't think X79 will even boot with registered RAM.
