I'm getting ready to build a new Seti cruncher. I'm RMA'ing my old KR7A right now. I'm thinking about getting a 2100+. How good is the stock hsf? I'm hoping to hit at least 2.1GHz. Is this possible? Should I buy a better hsf or should I get retail box? Help me come over to the dark side.:D

You MIGHT get 2.1ghz with the stock cooler, it really depends on your ambient/case temps as you will be marginal.

heatsinks are relatively cheap, and if it's for SETI, I'm sure you could find a donation if that's all you needed... at least us l337 folders help each other in such ways ;)
