AMD X2 4200+ or X2 4400+?

X2 4200+ Shipped is $191
AMD 4400+ Shipped is $244

is 30% more money (50$) really worth the extra 1mb cache?

according to Toms Hardware, the difference is somewhat minimal
keep in mind im a college student and dont have the largest budget. ive been on the edge of making this decision for a while, but couldn't bring myself to ordering one. i dont think that these processors are going to get cheaper any time soon either...

I concur, 4200 FTW!!!

If you are an L2 elititst, then the extra money is worth it. The extra cache will help in limited situations, but the general performance increase is only 1-3%, It blowsthe price/performance outta the water, but I am a budget proented guy. I build machines for as little as possible and then overclock them to make up the difference :)
