Looking for 4.0Ghz... And yes, I read the existing 3.2E threads.

Given my system in my signature, which would be the better bet? Leaning towards the Prescott, but wanted to get opinions on the Northwood chip as well.

Any reason why the Prescott's less expensive than the Northwood?

Prescotts are cheaper for the simple fact that there is less demand for them. Northwoods are still apparently in higher demand.

With watercooling I'd probably go with the 3.2e. You have a solid chance at 3.9 and a decent chance at 4.0, depending on the chip.
