3070 VENTUS 3X OC high clocks when idle..

hi there,

is it normal 3070 VENTUS 3X OC draws 45W ( Board Power Draw) while idling in desktop ? That seems a little bit too high... Also it seems card is not lowering the Frequency, sits at around 1700Mhz at all times. Also memory frequency is high.

Mod edit: The card has a high power draw because Chrome was open in the background, causing it to use higher clocks.

Does seem high compared to the reviews I’ve seen. They say idle power around 10W.

It looks like you are doing something though, 2GB vram used just looks like something is happening, maybe in the background. Are you playing any videos whilst checking idle power?

I know that the Adrenalin 2020 software with my XFX Radeon RX580, keeps the VRAM frequency at 2000 Mhz with my HP Omen 25 at 144 Hz, IIRC. (Adrenalin 2020 software HUD shows 32W/31W at idle)
