5.25 bay fan controller?

With all the new motherboards with fan control programs, are add on fan controllers still needed?

No, but you may need a wiring harness if you're connecting a lot of fans. Unless you're dealing with a really high end machine with multiple CPUs, one good case fan will do, two if you want redundancy.

Also if you have alot of case fans or whatnot could always do what I did and search for cases that have a fan hub (not sure what you'd call it really) so you can hook up more fans.
