Ugh..

Temps on my 8800 GTX dropped after I cleaned up the heat sink goop that was plowed all over my GPU. Has anyone tried or seen if it's possible to remove the IHS yet?

I'm still waiting for the chance to pickup a universal water block for it so I can add my card back into the water loop.

Have you guys looked at the thickness of the IHS though? Using a full sized block is out of the question since it won't make any contact because of the difference from the IHS depth and the RAMs placement. After popping the IHS the only option is to use an MCW60 with a conversion if you pop the IHS...

So needless to say, popping the IHS is a BAD idea. Unless you pop it and put some AS5 or Ceramique on it to drop a few degrees.
