advice before i start ocing nf7-s v2.0

hi,

i just bought an abit nf7-s v2.0 board for my second rig and i can't wait to get started with my system. i've read as many posts as i can in this forum about the board and the athlon xp mobile, but i was just wondering if anyone could give me any advice about stuff they wish they had known before they tinkered with the board. it would be much appreciated.

Sink up the board if you plan on maxing out the board. http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=37761</a> has a pic of what to sink, but make sure you don't cover the legs if you want to do solder mods.

I did the 3.3 rail= vdimm mod and it has never given me video since

Definitely upgrade your northbridge heatsink.

The things I consider very important and necessary to be able to have a stable system are very good cooling, a powerful PSU and high quality RAM.
If you have these 3 components, everything else will fall into place.
