Hey all.

I have a Aerocool Modern-V fan controller, which i installed today.

Its pretty cool. but the CPU tempature readings are way off.

It controls the speed of the fans. so i do not think its good.

I did some Burn-in test on the CPU and tempatures go to around 60 Celius. But the Modern-V controller only see around 30 celius.

The Sensor is attached on a big V8 coolermaster CPU cooler, so its attached on one of the heat pipes. So thats problaly why.

Should i disconnect the aerocooler controller?.

Tape the sensor directly on the metal part where the heapipes come out of the cooler. The 30c you are seeing is about right.

Use a profit like HW Monitor for real CPU temps.

Hi again.

Yes temp is correct where it is. But what counts are temp at cpu socket?

The closest i can tape the sensor to is the pipes goin up. Does anyone you know if normal tape is fine? There is some yellow tape included. But its beginning to be too dry, so the sensor falls off.

i think his problem is because his fan controller is reading the temp @ 30c its not adjusting the fans to match the real temp of 60C.
