The sensor on my AI7 shows 42c at idle & 60c load
i heard those sensors are about 10c off

I stuck a sensor from my Aerogate II in between the fins of my P4 3.0 stock fan and it shows 32c idle & 48c load

which one should i trust?

Well, the fins are on the die, so I wouldn't be trusting that.

Maybe ~37c idle, ~43c load ?

Mine is off heaps too. I was getting ~35c load on my SINXP and now I get ~44c.

I just got rid of the intel heatsink/fan, cleaned up the CPU with Acetone, applied a rice grain size AS5 on it and installed a Swiftech MCX 478-V and topped it with a Thermaltake smart fan II @4500 rpm.
I'm now running for the second hour prime95 OC my [email protected] with a temp reading of CPU 42c

I think i can OC at least to 3.8 .......we'll see

:D
