A7N8X Deluxe, has the most features of any nForce2 I know of.
Barton 2500+
1GB of PC4200 ram
2x7200rpm 180gb harddrives
Radeon 9800XT
REALY BIG CASE, LOTS OF LIGHTS, your choice.
Very quiet 500+watt psu
19" LCD
Chevette Heatercore, cascade wb, Eheim 1250, realy good gpu block
DVD-Rw drive and regular CD-rw drive
Logitech Z-640 speakers
Nice black keyboard and optical mouse
like thats gonna be under 1500... and why bother with pc4200 ram, you'll never hit that with that mobo or cpu

Questions....
AMD or Intel? does he care?
Overclocked or not?
what games does he play and does he go to lans?

The PC4200 is for the timings. If it can run realy high mhz, then it should run at lower mhz at realy good timings, like 2222 or better.

The ASUS A7N8X-Deluxe isn't the greatest overclocking motherboard - if you are going AMD go with an ABIT, or with an Athlon64.

OCZ RAM rocks too - just as good as Mushkin ;)

No, it is meant to run high mhz at crappy timings, you might as well just get some BH-5 memory and save the 100 bucks.
