My bet is...

...bet is that the cpu is n0t bad but the motherboard. Your symptoms just seem like how a wonky motherboard acts.

Indeed that's what I tried and didn't work.. well I guess I'll keep trying other stuff or finally buy a new CPU :D. Thanks for your time!
 
Yeah I would go with the motherboard too as it is much more likely that a motherboard goes out than a CPU. CPUs are actually pretty tough, relatively speaking. You can still get new AM2+ motherboards and an AM2 CPU would work in one.
