AMD 7900 series expected to launch before Christmas!

Thought I'd share with you AMD guys, there's some good info here. The 7900 series will launch before Christmas, no specific date has been given yet.

The 7000 series uses XDR2 memory, it is twice as fast as DDR5. The TDP is 190W. The 7970 has 2048 shader cores, 128 texture units and 64 ROPs.

I think they are full of it, March at best. Im just sayin....

They've been maintaining a release this year, while NVIDIA's delayed. However, both rely on TSMC for making chips. NVIDIA delayed so TSMC could get their 28nm process down and have enough chips to not cause major shortages. IMO, AMD's just being hopeful, but they'll delay to the same time. They usually release before NVIDIA but have shortages somewhere along the way.

I hope they are released before Christmas but I don't think that will happen.

I'd prefer them to be out around March 2012 time there's really nothing out there e.g a game that isnt pushing the current gen on its knees at the moment suppose it would mean BF3 would run on ultra on a single card but I'd rather not see any new hardware rushed only for it to either cause issues for owners.

Not that ATi cards have but only takes one thing and the **** hit the fan
