AMD ATI Graphic drivers won't install

If I download from the HP site(older ones) they go in.

If I download from the AMD ATI site(correct OS/hardware) all I get are audio...

ideas?

What AMD GPU do you have in the first place (tough to help without this information)?

Did you have the AMD site autodetect or did you manually dig through for it?

Auto detect say it can't find anything.

HD 5000 Radeon (device driver says so and so does the CCC when installed from HP's site)

Did a manual install for Windows 7 64bit

There were also no errors in the log.

Not what its reporting, what is the actual card you have in the machine?

Go to your BIOS and see if there's an option to set the primary display adapter , sometimes laptops have 2 display adapters I.E : an integrated Intel Display Adapter and an NVIDIA or AMD Adapter , then go to your Device Manager , and click on Display devices > right click on > ATI HD 5470 > Update Drivers , see if that works.
