amd cpu upgrade

hi all, this is my first post so take it easy on me??
i've got a gigabyte ga-m55sli-s4 mobo i'm current cpu is amd athlon 64x2 2.2 ghz 4200+, i would to upgrade to a amd athlon 6400+. the question i don't know my mobo tdp is but on the gigabyte web it states the my mobo cpu support list can handle the amd athlon 64x2 3.2ghz 6400+ 125w. my psu is 450w is that ok to run the new cpu?? thanks guys in advance.

mobo: gigabyte ga-m55sli-s4 rev.1
cpu: amd athlon 64x2 4200+ 2.2ghz
psu: coolmaster extreme rs-500 500w
vga: xfx-geforce 7300le
hdd: seagate 500gb
ram: kingston hyperx 2x1gb
cooling: 2x80mm rear
1x120mm front
cpu cooler: zalman cnp-s900
vga cooler: zalaman z-machine gv10
operatiing system: windows xp pro sp3
 
or buy the i just brought the new coolmaster psu today as the old one died yesterday in 40c heat.
