I think this is the first Phenom II 550
550-2.jpg
CPU = AM3 Phenom II X2 550 3.1Ghz (Stepping - 2)
mobo = ASRock 1780GMH/128M
Ram = 4x1Gb Hynix DDR2 333Mhz
HD = 1x 160Gb WE Caviar, 1x 250Gb Hitachi, 1x 80Gb Hitachi
PSU = Corsair TX650

results with real world bench

CPU = AM2+ 940 Phenom II BE (stepping 2) @ 3.4GHz 1.425V (1.37V under load)
CPU-NB multi = 13 i.e. 2.6GHz @ 1.3V
CPU Temp - approx 50 deg C - load and 34 deg C on idle
mobo = Asus M3N72-D
Ram = 2x2GB PC6400 supertalent 5-5-5-15-21-2T @ 1.98V (T800UX4GC5)
Cooling = Cooler Master Hyper TX2
Cased system - CM Elite

the system is stable like this. i have stopped here because i can't even get 3.5GHz stable at 1.5V with any CPU-NB settings.

here are some real world benchmarks from an app called Flux which solves electromagnetic problems using FEM. (ie lots of matrix calcs)

the amd is not quite as fast as my Q9300 at work but I managed a better OC on that cpu!

going from 3GHz to 3.4GHz speeds up the simulation by 10%

by changing the CPU-NB multi i can see an additional improvement of around 2%

3.8ghz stable at last,after removing a duff hdd squealing I managed to get a little more out of my gfx card and processor
Specs are in sig
Here's a pic with various apps [e.g 3dmark06,cpu-z,coretemp,rivatuner,everest]

First Overclock

This is my first overclock i have been tinkering with the 940BE for a while and this is what i got so far nothing special but an achievment for me.

Core Temp Screen - IDLE average 36 / MAX average 53

CPU Z - CPU

CPU Z - Memory

Super PI

Ive got this on air usig the XIGMATEK HDT S1283 and the ANTEC 300 with 4 fans, atm i have budget motherboard, i havnt really read enough on changing the NB and my HT link or RAM volts or clocks. My voltage is high but im happy with the results, running stable in Prime 95 for 2 hours only short test but i will be running more hours each day, Havn't had time to try and go any further worried about the voltage any advice on trying to get it further or if i have done anything wrong please help ?

CPU = 955 BE
mobo = msi k9a2-plat
Ram = 4x1gb g.skill ddr2-1066
HD = 3xseagate 500gb
PSU = coolermaster 600w
PCI-e = Visiontek HD4870 512
Cooling = OCZ Vanquisher w/ a delta on it
Cased: Antec 900

I run it at 3.8ghz 24/7....stays about 40-45c, vanquisher is junk imo, i could run the same speed on teh stock cooler. Pulls 17k in 3dmk06 single card.

ill edit and post the specifics later when i get a chance...but its right around 1.4v core...the only 2 voltages ive touched are ram/cpu. I can bench at 4.0, but cant get over 3.8 24/7....the only reason im using that board is because i got the cpu/board for 200. It seems to hold its own though, id really like to be over 4.0 24/7 stable though.

Tell me what im doing wrong.....
