AMD xp2500+ barton or AMD xp 2800+

hi all

I am stuck in the middle.i want to overclock the processor i will get and this is wat i have so far..i've got an asus a7v8nx-x motherboard, 160gb ide hdd ati 9200se video card, 3 x 256mb ram and a volcano 9 mod cooler and i cant decide on what to get...a AMD xp2500+ barton or AMD xp 2800+..i need advice on the overclocking abilities of both and peformance as well.

any help would be much appreciated.

go for a mobile barton 2500+ (http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=19-103-401&depa=0) or mobile 2600+ (http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=19-103-436&depa=0). they'll overclock a lot more than the standard xps you're probably thinking about with the 333 fsb. they have the exact same performance, but they start off at a lower vcore, which means they'll run cooler, and they have an unlocked multiplier, allowing for better options when overclocking.

yeh that was one option for me but the thing is that i tried to get a mobile cpu here but couldnt find one therefore thought about a xp2500+ but i can get a xp2800+ for just under $200 and i've got a limited budget as well.

oh and i forgot to mention that im from new zealand and its hard to find mobile cpu's here

hey all...thanks for the bits of info...i took the jump and got me a xp2500+ barton cpu...and my sig has the info about my rig...oh and feel freee to drop in by http://www.ocforums.com/showthread.php?p=3058111#post3058111 to comment about what you might think about my set up
