I'm thinking of building an Athlon64 Small Form Factor system with either Soltek NF3 250GB (S754) or Shuttle NF3 Ultra (S939), and I was wondering if 240W/250W that comes with the system will be able to supply enough power if I put 6800GT into it. I would also like to know any recommendation on which system I should pick, Soltek or Shuttle SFF. I would get 3400+ NC if S754 and 3500+ if S939.

Regardless of the processor, you'd need a better PSU just for the video card alone.

well, my Shuttle SN45G (NF2) is running XP-M 2600+ and 6800NU fine, with 250W SilentX PSU, I was just hoping it would work out with 64 setups as well. Anyone with actual experience???

well i have a shuttle SN84G4V2, a64(754) and a 9800 pro. it has a 240w silentX PSU, and i am very supprised by it. as you can see, it really didnt limit how far i could push things, but i am not sure about your 6800, it could be a different story, but you said that your 250w shuttle powered it. but also the 240w shuttle,and the 250w shuttle are very diff. PSU's but i believe the shuttle 240w/250w should be able to carry a x800/6800gt, with out much problem i havent heard much about the soltek shuttle, so im not sure about it. i have been very pleased w/ my shuttle, and it almost seems that i cant run it out of power. i even tryed hooking up a 550w TP to its, to see if i could get any more out of it, and i couldnt, the 240w pushed ti just as far :confused: .....lol

i think there are a few people over at Xtreme Systems w/ the soltek, let me looks.......

EDIT: check out this forum there are a few here w/ the shuttle, and x800's...

Im using the NF3 754 barebones from shuttle, and the 250w thats in it keeps me within .03 on all of my rails with a 9700pro. Im sure it would handle an X800/6800gt.

After doing some shearching I found that there where more good results with the X800, it may draw less than the 6800.

As far as the this or that rig I will have to say the Shuttles main board is so good it surprizes me every day with what I thro at it. Its holds the 9800 3D mark record in the 3Dmark team on this forum. This is also on air with every day drivers(no special benching setup).

I have looked at the 939 Shuttle box & I think it is a sweat rig & am going to order one myself soon.

Let us know what you do & how it turns out.

Heya All,
I've been running the 240w PSU on a SB61 w/ 3.2c and a 6800GT running OC'd to 400/1150 w/o a problem. Also running 2 HDD (1eide/1SATA) and DVD/CDR.
These PSUs are a bit more on the true rating side than most.

I just got my SN95G5 and I am looking forward to playing with it next... Designing a custom external WC system for it... :D

personally i would recommend the Shuttle SFF A64's. i havent personally used the 939 verson, but i have 754 verson(sn85g4v2)

mine has(w/ a bios update)

Vcore=1.0-1.7v
Vdd(chipset)=1.4?-1.9v
Vdimm=2.5-2.85v(i have vdimm modded though to 3.45vdimm)
Vagp=1.5-1.9v
Vldt=1.2?-1.5v
also it has cpu multi adjust, and LDT multi adjust from 1x-4x(but 4x isnt stable).

also has 100:200, 133:200, 166:200, and 200:200 ram devisors,

CAS, tRCD, tRP, tRAS, and command rate(1t/2t).

i can reach 280mhz HTT w/ 1:1 ram w/ my ocz pc4400, which is pretty good.

i would think that the 939 version would be good to, it would be good for someone to post shuttle 939 bios options..

Anybody running 90nm cpus in the shuttle sn95g5 yet? I am wondering about compatibility issues. Shuttle has yet to post anything saying that the current bios will work with them or not.
