Ahh! I apologize for the layout - i will sort it out tommorow when i have time :)
--------------------------------------------------------------

PC SPECS:

CPU: AMD Duron 900mhz (Socket A, 200mhz FSB)
Motherboard: Matsonic MS8127C+ (KT133 chipset)
Video Card: PixelView TNT2 M64 32MB PCI (heatsink, no fan,
Core: 125mhz, Memory: 143mhz (default values) )
Hard drive: Maxtor 6.5GB UDMA 33 (old!) (4.2GB win98/ 1.3 linux)

INFO: Crap video card I know - In this benchmark the core/mem settings are left at their default values (same with CPU) i will
knock them up significantly (without fan!!!) in next benchmark (check site). All benchmarks were performed after a hard reboot and with all startup apps (eg Volume control, QuickRes etc) disabled. In 3dMark 2000 i have 2 results - one with CPU optimization as AMD Athlon (Duron is an athlon) - and the other result set on AMD 3DNow! 3dMark 99 has only 3DNow! - and you cant even choose in 3dMark 2001. I always chose 640x480x16 because TNTs are not too good with high res or 32-bit colour. Using Detonator 3 (version 7.78). Vsync is Always on (yes this will definately affect my score but who cares - the flickering was annoying :). Monitor refresh rate is at 75hz (640x480).

BENCHMARK RESULTS

3dMark 99 MAX: 5972 3DMARKS
12686 CPU MARKS

3dMark 2000 (3DNow!): 3065 3DMARKS

3dMark 2000 (Athlon): 3237 3DMARKS

3dMark 2001: 1500 3DMARKS

Hmm. What can I say? Maybe a little
OVERCLOCKING WILL HELP!

Okey-dokey. What to overclock first? I think the Video card. I dont care if it explodes - im gettin a ASUS 7100 Geforce 2 MX very soon.

Righto - these are the default values:

Core clock: 125mhz
Memory clock: 143mhz

Hmm. Okay - lets knock it up bit by bit. Ill set it to:

Core clock: 135mhz
Memory clock: 150mhz

...and run 3dmark 99 benchmark:

3dMark 99 MAX: 6074 3DMARKS

Hmm. I can do better than 135 + 150! I must get higher!
Right knocked em up 5 each - They are now:

Core clock: 140mhz
Memory clock: 155mhz

Whether they are stable or not - we will find out by running 3dmark 99 benchmark again:

3dMark 99 MAX: 6139 3DMARKS

Hmm. Appears stable! No fan! In that case i must go higher :)

Core clock: 145mhz
Memory clock: 160mhz

And the results:

3dMark 99 MAX: 6169 3DMARKS

Not bad at all. But when does an overclocker ever get satisfied? Never.

Core clock: 150mhz
Memory clock: 165mhz

Its still stable!

3dMark 99 MAX: 6203 3DMARKS

MORE!

Core clock: 153mhz
Memory clock: 167mhz

3dMark 99 MAX: 6225 3DMARKS

I HAVE HIT THE LIMIT!

Thats right. I cant go any further even if i wanted to (I DO!) - Every video card has a limit - Voodoo3 has 220mhz limit - and this is mine - it kept resetting to this value - not even 155/170 - Oh well not bad!
Now we'll do 3DMark 2000 + 2001:

3dMark 2000 (Athlon):3359 3DMARKS
3dMark 2001: 1520 3DMARKS

Had to knock down to 145/155 to get these stable :(

Haha. 20 more marks in 2001! Yippee!

Hmm. Now what could I overclock next?
Right now my FSB is 200 (100x2) and PCI is 33mhz.:

Ive set it to 216 FSB (108x2) and PCI is 36mhz.

I cant go any higher because I cant change the CPU voltage at all (autodetected) becasue of my cheap Motherboard (apart from that its good!)

This results in the CPU being raised to 972mhz.

Now will the higher PCI or CPU value increase my scores? Lets find out.

3dMark 99 MAX: 6406 3DMARKS
3dMark 99 MAX: 13800 CPUMARKS
3dMark 2000 (Athlon): 3510 3DMARKS
3dMark 2001: 1643 3DMARKS

WOW!

WHAT AN IMPROVEMENT!!!

Well im now a lot happier! Games play really well now! I wish i could get to 14000 CPU marks :)

And guys - i didnt lie about anything - this is all 100% true and not bull****. I will write another article like this when i get my ASUS 7100 Geforce 2 MX AGP :)
