No GPUs running on the 2600k, set date and time and fixed my overclock.

Now this is getting fun, I believe I have her set up properly.

HFM shows 61,000 PPD. Very exciting!!!

2600K @ 4.9ghz 1.44v
RAM is 2133Mhz @ 10-11-10
Thanks for the pointers, ChasR!

I'm comin' for ya Dave!!!

OMG, 4.9ghZ? What heat sink do you have? I'm just burning mine in with Rosetta for now @ stock speeds. Damn that's nice man! Of course I won't immediately volt my machine to 1.44V but it's good to know.:)

EDIT: Saw your first post mentioning the Prolimatech cooler.;) Me gots a Hyper 212+ with Noctua push/pull.

Went with Prolimatech Megahalems. Prime blend gives me 77c, folding generally 74-76c. I wanted a solid 5ghz but the voltage bump required is too high for my ambient temp..

Ouch what are your ambient temps like? I was considering that hsf, but I'm getting better than that with a corsair H50 - which supposedly isn't as good as high-end air. I'm running 4.9 at 1.4 with pll off and load line compensation at ultra high. My ambient is about 23 and folding temp is about 68.

I haven't even tried disabling PLL overvoltage.. what fans are you using on the H50? my ambient temp is about 73F

Some model delta that came with a chenbro server case I had lying around. I suspect it moves around 90cfm at full tilt. I haven't tried the pll overvolt yet. I can boot into windows up to 5.2 with 1.475 volts, but it runs way too hot to attempt anything.

I'm actually still having a problem setting the date properly in Linux, i have just set the date by typing 'date --set="X XXX X X X X X" but obviously this isnt a real sync and hfm shows it as running Async.

Anyone know what I can type into a linux command prompt to properly sync the time?

try "ntpdate -s time-a.nist.gov"

According to ASUS, the ability to overvolt PLL was added to improve stability, eo I'm not quite sure why you'd want to disable it.

Unable to get work after I synced the time using that command, it seems to have synced the time properly, not sure if it is related to me not being able to get a bigadv unit...

I guess the time difference created some discrepancy in the log files - you may have to clear out the temp folder - but wait for somebody more knowledgeable to weigh in.
