Antec or RAIDMAX?

Thinking about getting a new power supply of a higher quality than my current Rosewill.

Antec SmartPower 2.0 SP-500

RAIDMAX Hybrid 2 RX-530SS

They're the same price after MIR, Both are modular, both come with sleeved cables, both are dual 12V, both have good amperage, both have good reviews overall. The RAIDMAX has a higher efficiency rating, the Antec has dual fans.

Anybody own either or both of these, and can recommend one over the other?

Neither one meets your conditions of higher quality. The Antec is known for being the worst of the cap cooking CWT designs, and the Raidmax is little better than a swift kick upside the head.

I would prefer to spend no more than $50...

In that case, your options will be limited to FSP. You might as well keep the Rosewill as long as it's doing ok.
