Any possible way to make Win 7 recognize OC speed?

I've been relentlessly scouring Google for solutions, figured I'd ask here as a lot of the info I've found is quite old. I have Asus X99-Pro with a 5820k, I'd really like to get Windows to recognize the actual clock speed of 4.5Ghz for reporting purposes (seems CPU-Z and AID64 are the only system info programs that will actually display correct clock speed) and also being able to flex my e-peen in IRC with system information script.

Some people said to disable speedstep in Bios, but that doesn't seem to help. Wondering if there's maybe some other Bios options I could try.

Windows won't show the OC speed, that's why we have tools like CPUz

It does on my old PC: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.4Ghz 3.00 Ghz. Gotta have somethin to do with newer chipset/ Bios I'm thinking.

Interesting, I don't think Windows Vista or 7 showed it on my old C2D laptop.

Makes me wonder if it's a bclk vs multiplier difference, as my laptop was multiplier OC'd

In Control Panel/System the overclocked frequency usually shows up in my systems but if memory serves me correctly there have been some systems where it will only show the factory spec frequency.
