Just did a real world temperature test with Unigine Valley maxed in surround 5760x1080.

Noise/temp are day and night.

BUT, the stock 780 cooler is really good. The blower is quality and the noise it made was mostly a wind noise, no bearing or cheapo part noise, only wind noise at high RPM while gaming and benching. the Xtrem3 is much quiter and is a good 20°c lowr at load.

I'm really picky when it comes to fan noise and the one from this stock cooling was fine, but i wanted quiter and better temp.

Nice Vid and more important nice results a jump in clocks and lower temps .

Thanks !

I benched at 1215mhz on the 780 with memory at 1749 ( ~7000 effective ) and the core/vrm/memory never broke into the 60s, ~58°c is teh highest ive seen on the VRM's, with fan @ max RPM but nothing really noisy.

Whyle gaming, something like BF3, @ 5760x1080 at ~1137mhz the core, VRM's capout at ~55-58 with silent fan operation. The core is ~54-55 while gaming at this clock.

I love my AX3. It's on a 6950, and it's technically not supposed to go on that card (double stacked connectors), but I was able to fit it on. It no longer sounds like a plane taking off under full load. :p

Nice! Thanks, and pretty good #'s on the OC.

No bios mod on the GPU, this is about the max i can do, it sometimes crash at just 5-10mhz higher. Temps remain way below 60°c while benching, no throttling at all :)
