Anyone here have one of these MOBOs? The reviews have seeming been great on the board. It's what I am leaning towards right now. There is also a really good combo for this, a 1600x and some Corsair Vengeance 3000 memory for about $531 + a $10 MIR.

Any other boards I should consider at or below this price point?

There's this one too, bumps you up two cores for $20 more. I reviewed the SLI PLUS and it'll handle an 8 core just fine. Just doesn't have a lot of whistles to it. https://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.3488526

Here's my review if curious http://www.overclockers.com/msi-x370-sli-plus-motherboard-review/

EDIT: One word on the RAM it may or may not play well depending on the BIOS and AGESA version. It'll still work just maybe not at 3000. Definitely 2666. I have a similar set up to 3200 but that's CHVI with updated BIOS and a certain way I hold my tongue.

Unless you plant on overclocking to the max ( ln2) then I think saving the $ and getting a b350 is better deal , then use the saved $ for a better gfx card . Unless you need the Bclk gen .

I have the Tiachi ...... it's a decent board. I can't compare it to the Crosshair V I Hero but as it compared to how my Crosshair Formula z ....... well it isn't in the same quality. From myI. Limited time lately to play around with it ...... this board has a fair amount of VDROOP. Once I figured out the LLC the board is able to correct it and provide stable voltage. That being said when you set 1.375v you should get that in a top tier board ..... when I set 1.375 and see 1.362v ...... that's a big difference especially for a top tier board.

Now I was shopping on a budget and came across a great deal so I am very happy with the board as it is would I still say that if I had paid full price $330 canadian...... no I wouldn't. If I was looking for a top tier board and are ready to drop that kind of money on a board like this I would now be looking at the Crosshair Hero. Ask me this in a month after I have played with the board more I might have a different answer and my above comments might be to harsh for the board after such a limited experience so far. Check the link below I have a couple screenshots in another thread ......

I thought there was an update released late May that fix a lot of the issues associated with Ryzen and added support for DDR 4000 speeds. This was one of the reasons I was looking at the ASROCK as reviews and people were saying they were not having issues with 3000 and 3200. Your review mentions 3200 with your memory. Are you saying there could be issues because of the brand or that particular memory?

Don't really plan on a GPU upgrade right now and I just have peace of mind with the more robust power delivery.

This is interesting. Thanks for this info. Are you running the latest bios and AGESA?

Yes ..... the latest bios 2.40 I believe. It came out last Saturday or the week before. It did make a difference with my ram I had at the time.

It's not the brand but whats under the HS. That ram is definitely Hynix MFR and a lot of it will work. Some kits are hit and miss usually the lower binned series. There are new BIOS releases but some are holding back on the updated AGESA versions. I'm doing a review on the Titanium and had to go into the MSI forums to find a BIOS based off AGESA 1.0.0.6 even CHVI versions aren't "official" yet.
