Asus making PCI-e 3.0 bridge for FX platform

I'm not sure how this works, but it sounds like I'd need to use at least two cards to add up to more than the combined bus rate of 2x16 at PCIe 2.0

Seems like an attempt at money-grabbing really...No more than a 1% performance improvement vs pci-e 2.0.

Human nature says that Asus will sell some of those boards and human nature says that no matter it be super good or not...most will say it is the next best thing since sliced bread. Just humans. Sign up and get in line at your neighborhood Asus store. Get'em while they are hot.

hardly a bottleneck even for sli/xfire...

The 990FX chipset boards do but not all the cheap shett most seem to buy. When there is only 1 full x16 video slot they also have seemed to dumb down the rest of the mobo such as VRM circuit. Cheap is not really inexpensive but capable.
