The short answer is yes. Its possible if your overclock wasn't 100% stable that there was a glitch while downloading it and you saved a corrupted copy.

But when you download it you get a compressed file. If it was corrupted then shouldn't I get a message when decompressing?

Anyway thanks for the help
 
It could have corrupted during the decompression process, which is actually more likely than during downloading since decompression is a more processor intense task.
