Hi Guys,
So I just bought a 3400+ but am having second thoughts. I'm an amd noob so I wasn't aware (until today) that a cg stepping Clawhammer version was now available.. bad planning on my part.
My question is this, is it worth sending the newcastle back and trying a clawhammer cg instead? I know that these chips can be hard to come by so that's why I'm hesitating. Will there really be THAT much difference? I plan to use this rig primarily for gaming, and I know the 512 vs 1 mb cache probably depends on the game.
Any advice would be appreciated. I bought the cpu from newegg, so if I would order a CH 3400+ they told me it's luck of the draw whether I'd get the C0 or CG stepping...
