Hello, i have a Asus M4A79T Deluxe motherboard.
I think to upgrade my motherboard. Which motherboard is the best for this AMD (Phenom2 965) processor? Also i want the motherboard to support the install of MacOSX 10.6.2. Could anyone help? Thanks!

Welcome to ocforums! :D

The board you have is up there at top of the line for 790fx wielding boards. I was initially going to get the board you have now but decided on the asus crosshair iii since I liked some of the features it had + the little lcd poster it comes with as well as the cool soundcard. Not entirely sure about this but I think your board supports triple crossfire. My board only supports dual.

As for supporting os x86 you should check their wiki. They have a hardware compatibility list on there.

the ASUS M4A79XTD EVO supports os x86 but I would be more focused on performance rather than os x compatibility. I don't know anything about that board though. There are not many amd boards that fully support 10.6.2. You could always run os x86 in vmware :D
I would stay away from the boards that have nforce chipsets.

VMware is basically a virtual encapsulation where you can run operating systems inside your choice of operating system. For example I use vmware in windows 7 to run a linux distro for folding@home and I also have an os x 10.5 install on an other vmware profile.

There is also virtualbox which is free but I've never tried running osx86 in that. Its essentially the same thing as vmware but opensource.
