Bluescreen (BSOD) Issue

I am trying to determine the cause of a recent BSOD from the extremely cryptic info reported by windows. I am trying to determine if this is a software or hardware problem and narrow it down to the specific issue in order to troubleshoot. The windows report is below for your reference. Can anyone offer any assistance or direct me to another resource? My OS is 64bit Win7 Home Premium SP1. Appreciate the assist.

When do you receive the BSOD, and have you tried installing the hotfix from here...

Error message when you try to resume a Windows 7-based or a Windows Server 2008 R2-based computer from hibernation: "Stop 0x0000009F"
