SOLVED Browser Redirect Virus

For a few weeks now my internet browser has been suffering with a redirect virus. About half the links I click on the internet while searching through Google, I get sent to some add site like "fastclicknow" and a few others. It's driving me insane.

I have used CCleaner, I have used Disk Cleanup, performed full system scans with AVG Anti-Virus, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, TDSSKiller, SpyBot - Search & Destroy, RogueKiller, and about 5 others. Though pretty much all of them found quite a few threats in the system and have cleaned every single one of them, the problem still persists. I have checked the registry and found nothing odd in it.

The OS I have is Windows 7 64-bit, I use Waterfox as my internet browser (it's a 64-bit version of Firefox, which I also use at times). I believe I picked up this problem since I had my firewall turned off for an extended period of time without knowing it. Well, obviously I turned it back on, but it seems to be too late. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Reinstall Windows and from now on do all your web browsing through a sandbox, or in a *nix VM. With some malware as persistent as what you have, you can spend plenty of time and effort trying to remove it, but it could just keep coming back. A format and reinstall of your OS will probably be quicker and that way you can be reasonably sure it's secure, unless it's nasty enough to have infected your backups/files that you restore onto the new OS.

I'd think there must be an easier way to remove it than that, as re-installing every single program, changing all the settings and moving all the files back onto the drive would take forever, but who knows. I'll keep trying some more stuff I guess...

Meh whatever, I just went ahead and re-installed Windows. Of course, it took care of the problem.
