Building a Home Entertainment PC with Tivo capability questions

Hi guys, I'm thinking of building a Home Entertainment PC and I have a few questions before I do.
1- Are there capture cards that can decode digital cable? If so how do they work with the "smart card"?
2- Is there a software that can bring Tivo like features? Can I set it to record from XX:XX to YY:YY on a certin channel?

For Tivo like features check into the card I got = Hauppauge PVR-350.

Far as decoding the digital cable, likely you need a set top box for that.

I allready got a "tv top box", each TV in the house needs one.
I know that if I connect the TV out on the box (same as the one that goes into the TV) to the PVR I would be able to record what ever I want but it would record only the channel the box is currently broadcasting.
