I have just bought this GTX 770 EVGA "SC" together with a GIGABYTE GA-Z87X-UD4H.

My problem is that the graphics card doesn't sit that well in the PCI port. It causes the card to hang a bit and together with little weight of the power connecters, the fan of my 770 makes a little faint buzzing/ticking noise.

I have tried supporting the graphics card - very gently - with my little finger and it goes away and comes back when I let go.

It is super frustrating and irritating. I think I have 3 x PCI-Express 3.0 ports, I have tried 2 of them, and both slots causes the same problem.

Is this the design of the motherboard - I have a hard time imagine it to be - or is it simply the bad design of the card?

Please help me out, I want this to go away. Should I make a complaint or what?

Yes, I think that too. I haven't found any fix for this so far, so I don't see any other option than returning the card. I have sent an email to EVGA as a last try.

For my card(MSI GTX 660 Twin Frozr 3) it has a metal support along the top, from the back to almost the front to support the weight. But i think it might just be your card? I haven't seen or heard of that happening to anyone else before, but i could be wrong, especially with today's GPU heat sinks and the lengths of the cards.
