i would like to know if it would be possible to set
up cable on both my PC's. could i run a Y splitter
on the cable to 2 cable modems then to the computers?

has anyone tried this? any info would be appreciated.

thanks

im trying to do this the cheapest way possible. would a hub
and switch be less expensive?

If you have a second NIC...
Why buy a hub?????
Just install the second NIC in the computer with the incoming connection and run a cross over cable (from the 2nd NIC) to the other computer.

Its the perefect solution for a 2 Computer network, and its cheap.

total cost, 1 cable

hub solution: Total cost
HUB
1 cable
