I'm in the process of building a new rig and I'd like to sell my existing hardware to raise funds for this; I'm looking for advice if I can use my SSD OS drive with this old mobo and CPU.

I have an old MSI MS-7336 (LGA 775) with a fitting processor (Don't remember the CPU type but the system works).

This is the mobo: http://mxdtr.com/hp-ms-7336-msi-ver-1-0-ms7336-motherboard-specs-details-specifications/

I have Win 7 64bit on a Kingston SV200 S3128G SSD drive.

Now, can I take my SSD and install it onto the older rig? The idea is to use the old rig as a 'stand in' until I get the new components for my new build.

Yes, you should be o.k. It depends on the OS as the board will handle the SATA interface. What OS. If you're trying to load Fred's Pretty Good OS you may encounter difficulties. :D
