If it is a PC Card (PCMCIA) and you have the adapter in your PC, yes. Apple AirPort card however are NOT PC card even though they can fit.

Most laptop with built in wireless card uses a form of mini-PCI or mini-PCIe and often time they are propriety and would not work on desktop at all.

Unless you have an adapter card you won't be able to use the wireless card.

You wouldn't want to anyway, because the laptop wireless would be lower power and most likely built to take advantage of two antenna. You are better to get a full power wireless adapter card or one of those usb wifi sticks ($20).

I'd grab an old router/AP and set it to bridge mode. Then run a cable to it and duct tape the unit to the inside of your case. ( That way it'd be internal wireless. )

Actually leave out the duct tape.
