Unfortunately, I can't choose between all the z87 motherboards that were just released. I will be running either an i5 4670k, or an i7 4770k depending on what I drop on the GPU, and what I feel like paying. I've recently been looking at these boards:

GIGABYTE GA-Z87X-D3H

GIGABYTE Z87X-UD3H

GIGABYTE GA-Z87X-UD5H

MSI z87-GD65

And lastly, Asus z87-PRO

I really am having the hardest time. I plan on overclocking eventually, yes. And it's going to primarily be a Gaming/photoshop build. If anyone has any tips on which board to go, please help me out. The rest of the build is finished with high end parts, so don't worry about figuring that part out with me. One last thing, Asus, Msi, and Gigabyte are the only boards I'll run. Just personal preference. Thanks again!

What's the difference between the D3H, and the UD3H?

D3H: H87

UD3H: Z87

Good read can be found here: http://www.pugetsystems.com/labs/articles/Z87-H87-H81-Q87-Q85-B85-What-is-the-difference-473/

H87 is "geared" more for "business" ie NO overclocking support

Z87 is The Z87 chipset is the chipset for the user that wants it all. CPU overclocking, support for triple SLI/Crossfire, plenty of SATA 6GB/s and USB 3.0 ports, and plenty of additional features.

Based on the info you have provided would "guess" that you want to stay with the Z87. (Unless you are going with a "budget" build - doesn't look that you are.)

Yes, the z87 is what I want. I'm confused though. Newegg says BOTH chipsets are z87.

Really like the specs of the Z87x-ud3h too, but the BSOD issues reported by some users when using all 4 DIMM slots worries me. I'm hoping the issue is identified soon, as I'm planning to get this board too. But then, I'm also confused as to whether the $100 pricier i7-4770 would perform significantly better than an i5-4670 or 4570, for Photo editing and gaming.

Thanks ajay57. Briefly checked to see first if they met my requirements, the 3 are more than what I want to spend here in Manila.
I've seen the Gigabyte review already before, w/c is why I indicated it as my preference (particularly because it has eSata at the rear pane). The Asus Deluxe is almost double the price here, while the Asus-A doesn't have eSata and costs the same here as the UD3H. And the Asrock Extreme 6 costs just bit more too, w/ no extra features from the UD3H that I need (i.e. no rear eSATA too). Sorry, if I didn't indicate my requirements earlier, as I was just commenting on the OP's choice. Might be best to post my request here too, as I did in another site.

Thanks again.

I ended up getting the MSI z87-GD65 board. If I could take it back, I would. I really want the Gigabyte UD4H. But I'm over my 15 days return by 5 days. :\ I'd also get an Asus z87-Pro.
