I just recently traded my dual CPU system for a 2.4c and Albatron 865PE Pro. I have to say, I really like what I'm seeing. I haven't used Intel since my Dual PIII 600's@800mhz. I'm not even overclocked right now, and the system feels nice and responsive! I have a CNPS7000-Cu on the chip, and it runs about 37 C idle. Is that pretty normal?

Anyway, I'm going to get some better ram and hopefully my cooling will hold up for at least 3.4 ghz.

Cooling looks good so far, but you really should check the load CPU temp. What are you waiting for? Crank that sucker up to 250 FSB and see what 3 gig is like. It'll probably do more, but that's a good starting point to see how it does and to get your feet wet. Don't forget to lock the PCI/AGP to default speeds.
