COA for which version?

I have a COA lable from a dead laptop. But the part that tells what version of windows that the COA is for is gone. (It was already rubbed off before removing label. Label was where a finger rubbed...)

Like an automobile VIN number, Can the COA code cross reference windows verson?

I don't know of a way to tell from the product key, but if you give us the laptop's model number it might be apparent.

That said, it looks like it should be a Windows 7 key, there are only a handful of versions of 7.
Most on personal laptops were Home Premium, IIRC.
