Hey guys, I'd like to ask those of you who have the Comcast 6 Mbps Internet plan a couple questions.

1. Is 6 Mbps Speed reliable for online gaming?

2. Are there any issues streaming HD content?

A relative is interested in getting this plan, due to it being more affordable. I wanted to see what you all had to say before he commits. I'm not sure what the upload speed is, which I know is most important for gaming.

Thank you all very much!

I was under the impression that gaming does not consume a lot of bandwidth and that latency is more important. I do remember playing Counter strike on dialup.

6Mbps is plenty for gaming and 1080p video, but not 4k video.

If you're otherwise fine with 6 Mbps, and are primarily concerned with gaming, then I strongly suggest looking for similar speed DSL service instead. Cable is nice for high bandwidth, but DSL kicks it in the *** for latency (60 ms Dallas-to-Chicago for cable vs 15 ms for DSL).
