So i bought a new raptor 74gb, i got 2 ides alrdy in the computer. I moved the two IDEs down a slot or two, didnt take any cables out. I placed the raptor in, used the SATA power source and put the sata cable into the motherboard. I start the computer, and nothing show on the screen, just that blinking light on the monitor. I remove the SATA everything. and still happens. I remove all hard drives and it still happens. I reseat the video card and reconnect the monitor cable. Nothing was working. I go to sleep and wake up, and i turn on the computer which i then see is booting up normally.

what the F did i do? Maybe the SATA connector screwed the motherboard?

I'd try it again and see if it happens again. When you say "blinking light on the monitor", do you mean it runs thru the post screen and then does nothing else?

no, nothing happens. but the computer turns on because of PC light...
yea blinknig light as in when nothing is comoing up on screen.
