alright.

running i7 3930k on 1.45v on Asus RAMPAGE 4 Ex

current cooling is H80 on stock fans.

idle temp is 37-41 in 22'c Ambient.
load on game is around 60-65'C

I will be doing 2 upgrades.

wanna guess what temperature it be after these upgrades?

1, H80 stock fans, changed to Akasa Viper 1900 RPMs.

2, H80 upgraded to H100 with stock fans.

3, H100 stock fans upgraded to 4x akasa Viper fans.

My H80 currently exhaust backwards
post upgrade h100 will be exhausting upwards.

MY GUESS.

1, idle 36-40 game 58-62
2, idle 33-35 game 55-60
3, idle 32-34 game 53-55

what's ur guess? I will post answer in 2 days!!! :attn:

-grin-

found a Kaze Jyuni 120mm that does 110 CFM at 29dBA

by the way, first test:

1, H80 stock fans, changed to Akasa Viper 1900 RPMs.

Idle Temp did went down 1-2'C, but loaded temp sees no help. :)

Changed to h100 with push/pull config.

result:
3, idle 32-36 game 53-55

however, under Prime95 full 12 thread load.. still reaches 88'c..
I suppose it just can't cool it fast enough on liquid cooling... need to go extreme.

little confused by what you mean exhaust backwards
are you drawing cooler air into the case (i think thats what corsair recommended), or exhausting warmer internal air out with the fans?

i have two intakes, two fans (120) in the front
and two fans (120) on the sides.

then exhaust is h100 with 4 x 120 on the top (airflow count as 2, as push/pull airflow same)
and 1x 140 at the back.

so total I have 4 fans sucking cold air in.
and 3 fans blowing exhaust out.

in the end:

after many many experiment with air direction, and a total of 9 fans positioning around the chasis, managed to lower core temp under load from 88 to 83'C.

Premium paid total for this weekend ard $120 USD.

is it worth it? haha, HELL YEAH. :attn:
