I'm doing a full tear down of the green gorilla as its final cleaning, and as such am replacing all my tubing scrubbing all my blocks and radiators.

So anyway a few of my 140mm fans are starting to squeal and vibrate so they all need replacing. Right now I'm running 140x25mm yate loon high speeds on a fan controller. I'd like to replace them with something comparable. Quiet powerful and easily controlled.

I need to replace th pads on my 980TiFC block I'm not sure what thickness EK ships with. Would love a suggestion here.

Planning to order shin-estu greese

price wise you will be hard pressed to find anything close to your YLs. they are still in the $5 range. if you want to spend more for better longer lasting fans we would need to know your budget as there are a boatload of quality fans to choose from. if i remember correctly there are 3 different thicknesses that ppcs sells of the ek pads but i cant say which would be the right fit for your card. i would email ek just to be certain. they will get back to you asap in my experience, almost always within 24hrs. i havent heard the shin etsu name in a long time! i would suggest either arctic mx4 on the cheap, high end or thermal grizzly conductonaut for the high $, high performance. i use a4 for all of my builds except for my own rig. for that i use conductonaut for that little bit extra.

Budget wise I'm open to around $15 a fan since I'm doing so many.

i would check out the noctua redux nfp-140 fans at that price point.
they are great fans that will last forever and they even look halfway decent(gray w/black corners). they have everything from rad fans to just plain old high cfm case fans.

bequiet makes some really solid all around fans but the 3 series are usually $20-$30 while the 2 series are cheaper but much harder to find.

if your looking for rgb fans they may break the budget as most are in the $20-$30 dollar range unfortunately. they generally require a rgb controller on top of the fans themselves so they get expensive quick.
ive heard good things about the cougar case fans as well but ive no personal experience with them. if your looking for cheap but decent led fans you know well the benefits that the yate loon lineup offers. i use these in builds all the time and have a huge collection(20+) for replacements but i just cant seem to find any to replace!
there are also these phanteks rgb fan frames that look really good but they add another $10-$12 to each fan. this is actually what ive opted for along with a bunch of noctua fans (still buying lol).

that combined with yates would be pretty close to $15 per fan. altho you may need to buy a rgb controller for them if you dont have a rgb connection on your mb.
sorry, got a bit lengthy there.

Color and illumination are the least of my concerns. The inheritor of this machine doesn't want all the flashy lights and stuff. I would just replace them with the same units if I could find them.

Sigh doing this without access to a computer suxx.

you can get yate loons at ppcs, it looks like they are all out of black 140s tho :( you can get the meds from amazon but they are $10 a pop. id say go with the noctua nfp-14s. they are more expensive but they are also much higher quality and build than yates. ive found a few places that have yates but the price after shipping is a joke. you may want to wait until ppcs gets them back in stock. bleh maybe just go with some of the led yates? they are cheap and ive had really good luck with them. matter of fact ive got a couple blue led yates in a q6600 rig thats old as heck. they still run fine.
i cant believe there arent any black yate loon 140s anywhere for a decent price. alright found them at sidewinder
